Associate Experience

Associates at Rackemann Sawyer & Brewster enjoy a close working relationship with the Firm's partners. We believe in an apprenticeship approach. Our new lawyers learn by doing, but they also receive close supervision and feedback from our more experienced lawyers.

From the outset, associates are given significant responsibility for case management and have a great deal of client contact. In our Litigation Department, associates are provided with early opportunities to participate in all stages of a case, including trial. Similarly, our other associates handle important aspects of significant transactions at an early stage in their careers. Our associates are treated as individuals, and great care is taken to help them develop into exceptional lawyers with high ethical standards.

We encourage communication and the sharing of ideas and information. We enable our lawyers to maintain a healthy balance between their work and home lives. Lawyers are encouraged to pursue outside interests and become involved in their communities. We recognize that circumstances affecting the personal and family lives of our lawyers may necessitate flexible work arrangements.
