In December, 2011, Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster attorneys Ralph J. Rivkind and Thomas M. McHugh closed a multi-million dollar asset purchase transaction involving the sale of a third-party billing corporation to a national provider.  The transaction involved the combination of cash and future performance payments based on financial performance, and will aid the acquirer in its continued growth nationwide.  The target corporation began operations in 2005 and has rapidly grown as a single source provider of billing services for municipal, utility, and private organizations across the country.
