Practice Focus
Ms. Harrington concentrates her law practice in the area of administration of trusts and estates and in estate planning.
Notable Experience
Advises professional and family executors and trustees in administration of estates and trusts
Extensive experience in administering estates of both Massachusetts residents and non-residents, including, in particular, representing the executor in probate court proceedings and the preparation of estate, gift and income tax returns
Represents trustees in probate court proceedings for resignation and appointment of successor trustees and account allowance proceedings, including working with guardian ad litems and advising trustees on such matters as exercising discretionary distribution powers
Upon client request, serves as an executor and trustee
Chair of the Trusts and Estates Department and currently serving on the firm’s Executive Committee

Background
After graduation from law school, Ms. Harrington was a Trust Officer at The First National Bank of Boston (now Bank of America). Prior to Joining Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster, Ms. Harrington was in private practice with the law firm of Condit & Associates, P.C., whose practice concentrated in the trusts and estates area.
Community Service Activities
Currently serving on the boards of Greater Boston Legal Services, the Howard Benevolent Society and Smith College Club of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Publications
On behalf of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Ms. Harrington has chaired the Basic Estate Planning Program and continues to serve as one of the speakers on post-mortem planning.
