Practice Focus
For more than 15 years, Peggy has worked on corporate and regulatory matters relating to insurance, particularly including reinsurance. She also has extensive real estate experience involving financing, leasing, and title matters.
Notable Experience
Peggy has extensive experience in insurance company receivership matters in multiple jurisdictions, including: statutory and regulatory analysis of receivership statutes, holding company acts, and model acts; issues relating to captive insurance company receiverships; review and analysis of company transactions and documentation; creation of liquidating trusts; transfers of insurance business and corporate charters, and licenses, security and escrow arrangements; and deferrals of assessments and related matters.
Of particular interest to her are reinsurance matters, including review of reinsurance treaty programs and drafting of treaties, evaluation coverage issues, and billing and collection of reinsurance claims.
Her practice has included broad experience with general corporate transactions and governance, including asset purchases and sales, administrative services agreements, computer systems transactions and documentation, insurance agency issues, and general corporate matters.
Peggy practices real estate law in connection with insurance company receiverships, including sales of real property, financing transactions, and leasing matters.
