Practice Focus
For over thirty-six years, Dave’s practice has emphasized issues concerning complex insurance-related questions -- both corporate and litigation. He represents insurance regulators, concerning material insurance company transactions, examinations and reorganizations, as well as insurance companies and insurance agencies.
Notable Experience
Dave has represented insurance regulators with respect to reorganizations of large property/casualty and life insurers as well as HMO’s resulting in full payments to policyholders. He has also represented insurance regulators in path-breaking multistate examinations of national insurers and with respect to material transactions of first impression. Dave has also represented insurers and insurance agencies with respect to corporate and litigation matters. He has appeared as lead counsel in state and federal courts including the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the New Hampshire Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit.
