Business Case Study
Rackemann Strategic Consulting
Rackemann Strategic Consulting, Inc. (RSC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster, and headquartered in our Boston office, was founded in 1989 to provide policy, strategy, and tactical advice to private and public sector clients on a wide range of real estate, development, planning, and environmental review assignments. Through a close working relationship with the client's counsel and technical contractors, RSC provides integrated services in the critical areas where legal, regulatory, and technical requirements interact.
At RSC, we assess policy issues, regulatory questions, and regulatory amendments for government agencies and the private sector in such areas as high speed rail, mass transit, hazardous waste, solid waste, water quality management, water pollution control, and environmental impact assessment.
We focus on strategic guidance of new projects and expansions of existing projects through the development, permitting, and construction process. We conduct preliminary analysis, site selection, strategy development, study design, coordination, environmental impact reports, permit and review tracking, presentations to the public and agencies, and conflict resolution.
The tactical services we offer involve short duration problem solving efforts for existing facilities, property transfer, project financing, or alleged violations of regulations. These include environmental compliance reviews, review of environmental opinions, review of oil and hazardous material assessments, interpretation of regulations, interpretation of data, expert witness services, technical testimony preparation, and resolution of permit violations.
