Maura Murphy Attends Foundation for MetroWest Community Leadership Breakfast
On October 4, 2013, Rackemann attorney Maura Murphy attended the Foundation for MetroWest’s annual Community Leadership Breakfast. The event was held in the Newton Marriott, where the major topic of discussion was the essential partnership between community business leaders and philanthropic organizations. Ms. Murphy attended the breakfast in her capacity as a Community Board Member of the Fund for Wellesley, a fund within the Foundation for MetroWest.
The keynote speaker at the event was Ron Shaich, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Panera Bread. Mr. Shaich delivered a speech about his company’s Panera Cares program, and its mission to raise awareness of and solve the problems of hunger and food insecurity. The Community Leadership Breakfast was chaired by Bob Rands, a Trustee of the Foundation.
The Foundation for MetroWest is a philanthropic organization dedicated to serving the communities in the western part of the Boston metropolitan area. Its mission is to promote philanthropy in the region, help donors maximize the impact of their local giving, serve as a resource for local nonprofit organizations, and improve the quality of life for citizens of the Metrowest area.
