Maura Murphy to Lead Seminar on Corporate Governance for 501(c)(3) Organizations
On October 24, 2013, Maura Murphy will be leading a two hour long interactive seminar on the topic of corporate governance for 501(c)(3) organizations. Ms. Murphy is a Director in Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster’s Business Law Department, and is an expert in providing corporate advice to non-profit entities. The seminar will cover areas such as the role of the board, director duties, board composition, board procedures, policies, other compliance issues and director liability.
The seminar is a joint project of the Lawyer’s Clearinghouse and the Boston Private Bank & Trust Company Community Investment Series. It is scheduled to last from 9AM – 11AM, with a buffet of pastries, fruit, juices, coffee and tea available starting at 8:30AM. It will take place at the Boston Private Bank & Trust Company Building, which is located at 10 Post Office Square, Boston. The event is free and open, but in order to attend an RSVP is required by October 21.
