Our employment practice emphasizes broad, multi-disciplinary counsel to advise employers in a wide range of issues, including executive compensation, employment, non-competition and severance agreements, personnel policies and procedures, as well as workplace harassment, discrimination, and wrongful discharge. We also represent high-level executives in the negotiation of employment and non-competition contracts, as well as severance arrangements. Firm members also represent employers and employees in litigation in federal and state courts and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
Much of our employment work is proactive, including negotiating and drafting complex employment, non-competition and separation agreements and providing advice regarding employee termination to minimize the likelihood of discrimination allegations. Our lawyers work with clients to adopt and implement effective personnel policies and procedures and help develop appropriate responses to employee or regulator complaints.
