Rackemann Assists the Town of Westwood in a Successful Special Town Meeting for the University Avenue Redevelopment Project
Dan Bailey and Gareth Orsmond serve as Special Town Counsel to the Town of Westwood in connection with the University Station project, a proposed two million plus square foot mixed use development on 130 acres of former industrial land located adjacent to the Amtrak Station at the Route 95/Route 93 interchange. Dan and Gareth have worked over the past year with the Westwood Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, Finance Commission and the School Committee to review this proposed project, which includes retail, office, residential, hotel, fitness and assisted living uses. The Town of Westwood overwhelmingly approved seven warrant articles at a Special Town Meeting on May 6; the approval of these warrant articles allows the project to break ground this summer.
