Rackemann Attorney David Friedman Leads MCLE Divorce Law Panel
Rackemann attorney David M. Friedman recently served as faculty for a Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) panel seminar entitled Divorce Law BasicsPlus.
The comprehensive, two-day long panel seminar was designed to provide an intensive introduction to the fundamental skills and approaches necessary for an attorney to effectively represent clients in divorce proceedings. Skills that were covered by the panel included the statutes, rules, and case law that govern divorce proceedings, how custody and visitation issues should be handled, the importance of understanding the financial and tax implications of a divorce settlement, how to conduct a four-way negotiation, and basic client-intake and practice tips for family law attorneys.
David is an associate in the firm’s Family Law Department, and was chosen as faculty for this seminar on the basis of his extensive experience representing clients in divorce cases. David is also a founding member of the Greater Boston Family Law Inns of Court, has taught numerous family law MCLE courses, and has co-authored two chapters of the Massachusetts Divorce Law Practice Manual.
Printed materials from the seminar are available on the MCLE website here, and the entire seminar is available for purchase from the MCLE in an audio CD format.
