Rackemann Public Message – COVID-19
The global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is an evolving situation, and we recognize that concerns of virus spread are the source of much anxiety. At Rackemann, the health and safety of our community – including clients, colleagues, employees and visitors to our office – are paramount.
Like most businesses, we continue to closely monitor this situation. As of today, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reporting that for the general American public, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low. There have also been no reported cases in or related to our building.
We continue to adhere to our strict health and safety policies and are following expert guidance as provided by the CDC, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Boston Public Health Commission. We are prepared to take the appropriate additional measures if the virus spreads within our community, as informed by experts. In the event the situation escalates, we have a contingency plan in place that will enable our attorneys and staff to work remotely to ensure full business and service continuity. We are also taking a number of actions to ensure a healthy environment for our employees.
One of those actions is instituting a Visitor Policy to help ensure the safety of our community and employees. Because of the potential risks from the spread of the Coronavirus, Rackemann requires all those who have traveled to areas with high COVID-19 activity to self-quarantine for 14 days before coming to our offices. This protocol is effective until further notice and applies to our colleagues, visitors and vendors.
We also continue to review all non-essential business travel, and will only travel by personal vehicle for local client meetings. We are suspending all group meetings at Rackemann offices and encouraging that meetings be conducted by video or teleconference while the current situation continues or escalates.
We are confident these steps will allow us to continue providing the high level of client service you expect of us, while protecting the health of our clients and employees during this challenging period.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding and we remain committed to continue to work with you today and in the future.
With very best wishes,
Francesco A. De Vito
