Rackemann Sawyer & Brewster Expands Litigation Department
Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster announced today that it has expanded its Litigation Department with the addition of two attorneys. Phillip Y. Brown has joined the firm as a Director, and John E. Bowen has joined the firm as Counsel.
Mr. Brown brings years of litigation and mediation experience to the firm, having achieved numerous successes in high-stakes cases in trial and appellate courts and before state boards, as well as before state and federal agencies. Prior to joining Rackemann, he was a Shareholder at Adler, Pollock & Sheehan in Boston. His practice at Rackemann will focus on the handling of complex litigation involving business, trade secret, employment, and zoning disputes.
Mr. Bowen, also a highly respected litigator, left a position as Senior Counsel in the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General to join Rackemann. While working at the Attorney General’s Office, he served as Supervisor for all eminent domain and Land Court litigation in the Trial Division. At Rackemann, he will provide clients with the impressive knowledge and skill pertaining to eminent domain and Land Court litigation issues that he garnered in that role.
“We are very pleased to welcome both Phil and John to the firm,” said Michael O’Connell, the firm’s managing director. “The extensive expertise they both possess in their respective practice areas make them strong additions to our litigation department, and will expand and improve upon our ability to serve our clients.”
