Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster Participated in the Newton Country Day School Senior Project
This Spring, Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster participated in the Newton Country Day School Senior Project. Founded in 1880, Newton Country Day School is an independent college preparatory school for girls grades 5 through 12. The Senior Project, a requirement for graduation, is designed for students to spend time working in a new and challenging environment to broaden their educational experience through a 5 week internship. The firm was able to provide one student, Victoria Husser, with a 5 week internship. During this internship program, among other experiences, Victoria attended court proceedings, visited the Registry of Deeds, and participated in the Boston Housing Court’s Lawyer for a Day program. Victoria also attended a luncheon meeting of NEWiRE (see photo below with Lauren Armstrong, a member of the firm) which has inspired that organization to get involved with the internship program next year.
It was exciting to be able to work with a high school student in her final year of study.
